Roy Mckinley ''Bud'' Meadows, Jr.

Roy McKinley "Bud" Meadows, Jr., 84, native of Asheville, North Carolina, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 21, 2014.

Roy is survived by his beautiful wife, Sadie D. Meadows, of sixty-one years. Roy was a devoted, loving, generous, faithful, Christian husband and father. Roy always put his family before himself in everything he did. Roy's sense of humor was extraordinary and always lit up the room with laughter. He was an honest man who took great pride in his country, his character, and his word.

Roy retired from the US Air Force in 1974 after twenty-four years of dedicated service. He then retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base in 1995 after twenty years, giving him a total of forty-four years working in Electronics.

Roy leaves behind his wife, Sadie, daughter, Peggy (Ken), son, Roy (Stacie), and son, David (Sherron), five grandchildren, Jessica (Michael), Kasey, McKinley, Chase, and Lane, two great-grandchildren, Mathew and Kaden, three sisters, Nell Carland of Canton, NC, Wanda Luft of Wichita, KS, and Barbara Spink of Wichita, KS, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made to Lakeside Assembly of Eastman (1417 Eastman Cochran Hwy, Eastman, GA, 31023).

Services will be private.
