Roy Monroe Odom, 69, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.
Mr. Odom was born on December 8, 1938, in Thomaston. He graduated from Georgia College and State University earning a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. With pride and honor, he served his country in the U. S. Army for three years. He later worked at Robins Air Force Base in civil service as an Electronics Technician and retired. He enjoyed being a volunteer for the Museum of Aviation. His parents, John Paul Odom and Mary Hale Odom, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of forty-four years, Cheryl Hummock Odom; children, Mark Odom (Julie), Kenneth Odom (Kim), Robin Fox (Ritchie) and Jennifer Odom (John Buchanan); and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, with a graveside service following at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2008, in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Chaplain Thomas Qualls officiating
