Rubelyn Sulteras Russell, 43, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Rubelyn was born on December 8, 1979, in Talahid, Biliran, Philippines. She was kind, thoughtful, and welcoming to those who knew her; she had an amazing, warm smile and loved to laugh and give comforting, warm hugs. Rubelyn was a faithful wife who was dedicated to her husband and family, whom she loved dearly. She carried a countenance of peace about her which extended into her faith. Rubelyn was a confirmed and dedicated Catholic who participated in medical missions of which she had been recognized by The Rotary Club. An incredibly generous and loving soul, she was always very hospitable to guests and could always sense when others were in need and offered her help. She loved to feed and care for others and often sent food, clothing, medication, and other various items back to her home country for others in need. Her love and kindness extended to her job and her coworkers; she loved the people she worked with and was a hard worker. Rubelyn loved animals, particularly her dogs, William, Dixie, and Faith. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially hosting them in her home. She will be deeply missed by those who had the joy of knowing her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 13 years, Joel Russell; parents, Ruben and Belyn Sulteras; siblings, Ruben Sulteras (Anne), Rowenda Arnejio (Jason Paul), Gracelyn Macanas (Edmar), and John Benedict; nieces and nephews, Jayrha Chloe Arnejio, Jazmine Cleone Arnejio, Jason Paul Arnejio, Jr., Jaycie Catriona Arnejio, Edria Grace Macanas, and Robi Alexander Sulteras, along with many other loving family members and friends.

A rosary, followed by a visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The interment will be private.
