Ruby S. Gauntt

On the afternoon of Friday, October 4, 2024, Ruby Gauntt, 80, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

 Ruby was born on September 12, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late William Stallings and Lillie Harris Doss. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and Shirley Hills Baptist Church, where she attended Frog’s Sunday School class. Ruby spent most of her career working in the banking industry prior to her retirement from Robins Federal Credit Union. She loved animals and volunteered her time at the Houston County Humane Society where she began assisting in 2007 and was a member of the board. Her love for animals led her to becoming a foster and often pet sitting for others. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Gauntt.

 Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Brenda Gay (Barry) of Macon, Charles Hankins (Freda) of Warner Robins, and Cindy Bowles (Steve) of Newnan; grandchildren, Brandon (Bre), Brian (Ying), Doug, Alex and Gabe; great grandchildren, Jordyn, Autumn and Lincoln.

Visitation with Ruby’s family will be Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with the memorial service celebrating her life following in the chapel. Burial will be private.
