Ruby Peavy, 81, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2006.
Mrs. Peavy was born on June 26, 1925 in WestPoint, Georgia. She was a charter member of Second Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher in the junior department with her husband Bill and was the a past president of the Women’s Missionary Union. She worked in the supply at Robins Air Force Base during World War II. She was also a Pharmacist Assistant at Ligett Rexall, Davis Drive Pharmacy, and Green Acres Pharmacy and was a previous Certified Nurses Assistant at the Houston Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Peavy; parents, Fletcher and Mary Davis; brothers, Marco Davis and O’Neal Davis. Her legacy of kindness will continue in every life she touched.
Survivors include her children, Mary Jo Aho (Ron), Warner Robins; Garry Peavy (Sandy), St. Simons, Island; granddaughter, Tammy Aho Brown, Warner Robins; great- grandchild, Brandon Brown, Warner Robins.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 29, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
