Russell Lee Hargrove entered into rest on June 6, 2024. Born on December 20, 1958, in Okinawa, Japan, Russell's path was shaped by commitment to service and his deep love for his country and his loved ones.
Russell proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he exemplified duty and honor. Following his military tenure, he continued his service, working at Boeing and then in civil service for Robins Air Force Base.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and the freedom of riding his cherished Harley Davidson. A true craftsman, he poured his passion into building classic muscle car models. For many years, Russell coached Little League baseball, instilling in countless young players the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Among Russell's greatest joys was his deep affection for NASCAR.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Russell Charles Hargrove, his mother, Verlie Mae Edwards Hargrove and his brother, Jimmy Hargrove.
Russell leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife Lisa, of 16 years; his children, Nicholas Hargrove (Rosie), Brittany Hargrove, Brandon Wortman, Andrea Pieper (Steve), Melissa Winebrenner, Joshua Midkiff (Malinda), and Kayla Wilson (Matthew); his siblings, Annette Wentworth and Angie Walley; grandchildren, Destiny and Noah Hargrove, Giavannah and Alessandra Macchiarole, as well as numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each a testament to his enduring legacy of love and family.
