Ruth Hattaway Ford, 93, joined her belated husband of 45 years, Thomas J. Ford in heaven on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Born in Bibb County, Georgia on February 10, 1925, Ruth was the daughter of the late Frank and Avie Hattaway. She retired in April of 1987 from the Kroger Company after 36 years of dedicated service. Ruth was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church in Lizella and spent the last four years living with her nephew, Bruce, and her sister, Margaret in Centerville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Robert, James, and Albert; and her sister, Doris Hattaway Lacey.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, William Curtis Ford, granddaughter, Deaundra Adkins, and two great-grandsons; and siblings, Arthur Hattaway of Peach County, Claude Hattaway and Margaret H. Rouse, both of Centerville.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Fuller officiating.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Pruitt Health Hospice, 6060 Lakeside Commons Dr., Macon, GA 31210. The family would like to give a special ‘thank you’ for their care and compassion during the final stages of Ruth’s life.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Ford’s arrangements.
