Ruth Mceachern

Ruth McEachern, 87, entered the Kingdom of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.

Ruth was born on March 19, 1927 in Perry, Georgia. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville and the Sutherlin Sunday School Class. Ruth graduated from Spaulding County High School in Griffin, Georgia. She was a dedicated homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Her parents, Robert and Clara Coleman Smith, and brothers, Arnold, Eugene, and Richard Smith, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 70 years, Emmett McEachern; children, Lynda Brand (Ronnie) of Centerville, Lois Harper (Damon) of Tifton, and Donna Sue Laurens (Donnie) of Macon, seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Smith, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given In Memory of Ruth McEachern to First Baptist Church of Centerville Building Fund, 108 Church Street, Centerville, GA 31028 or to the American Cancer Society – Breast Cancer Research, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201.
