Ruth Ann Pozo

Ruth Ann Pozo, 86, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Ruth was born on December 10, 1937, in Tonawanda, New York. She spent much of her life in Florida before relocating to Byron to be cared for by her daughter.

A compassionate and devoted individual, Ruth had a great love for animals, which she carried throughout her life. She also enjoyed a long career as an administrator in the furniture business.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Pfanner and George Hamblet; her husband, Rick Pozo; and her brother, Robert Hamblet.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Lynda Barrett (Keith) of Byron, Paul Hering (Robin) of Forsyth, Kyle Hering (Joanne), Karen West (Tim), and Phyllis Vaughan, all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Starla Barrett, Robert Beckmann (Brittany), Kyle Barrett (Bethany), Kevin Barrett (Norma), and Ricky Barrett (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Joseph and Liam Lynch, Olivia, Destiny, Skyler, Caden, and Landon Beckmann, Stephen and Sarah Barrett, Brittney and Tony Barrett, Zoe and Zane Barrett, and Nicole Barrett; as well as sister, Lois Kramer.

At the family’s request, all services held will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Ruth Ann Pozo to your local animal shelter.
