Born on June 7, 1932, Sadie entered into the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Known by her family and friends as “Nana,” she was the most compassionate, gentle and loving person. Sadie was also known for her beautiful, loving demeanor, and was the family peacekeeper. She loved playing Bingo and working in her garden and flower beds.
Sadie was married to the love of her life, the late Roy ”Bud” M. Meadows Jr., on June 20, 1953. She traveled the world with him as a military wife and had the opportunity to live in several different countries throughout the world. Sadie made a beautiful home in Warner Robins for 48 years and raised three children with Bud teaching them the great moral values that they were taught by each of their own parents. She was loved very much by many and will be truly missed!
Sadie is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roy M. Meadows Jr. She leaves behind her children, Peggy Meadows Zell (Ken) of Darien, GA, Roy M. Meadows III (Stacie) of Omaha, NE and David L. Meadows (Sherron) of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Jessie Francis (Michael), Kasey Allen (Chris), Mckinley Meadows, Chase Meadows and Lane Meadows; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Kaden Francis; and her 93-year old sister, June Roberts of Asheville, NC.
Sadie will be laid to rest next to Roy with a private graveside service in Andersonville National Cemetery.
