Sadie Eloise Struth, 81, entered into rest on Monday, February 7, 2011.
Mrs. Struth was born on April 8, 1929 in Etowah, Tennessee. A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Sadie moved to Warner Robins, Georgia five years ago to be closer to her son; Dr. Alan Struth. She was an active member of Deermeadows Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Sadie retired from the American Red Cross as a Registered Nurse; proudly graduating first in her class at the age of fifty years old. Sadie will be remembered most for her compassionate caring ways and love for her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and the patients she served. Her husband, William Gadson Struth, Jr., daughter, Karen Struth Migues, parents, Newton Columbus Evans and Sadie Marie Alvis Evans, brother, Joe Evans and sister, Ann Evans, all preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved children, Dr. Alan Struth and his wife, Debbie; Andy Struth; Neva Struth Schwind and her husband, Chip; six grandchildren, Shelly, Allyson, Kimberly, Kristin, Erika, and Angie; brother, Grant Evans, West Palm Beach, Florida; and sister, Marjorie Evans, Dawsonville, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 810, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or to the American Red Cross, 346 Corder Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
