Samantha Mary Victoria Montoya

Samantha “Sam” Mary Victoria Montoya, 34, entered into rest on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Sam was born on August 17, 1989, in Warner Robins, Georgia. A special mom for a special boy, Sam loved to do anything that involved her son and her nephews. When her sister, Kiley, passed away, she really stepped up and helped in raising and nurturing her nephews with her mom, Deborah. Together, they were considered the best tag team of co-parenting superstars. She always made sure that every stomach was full, providing dinner every night for her family. When she wasn’t cooking, she loved to order Little Caesars pizza with extra marinara. Always forgiving, non-judgmental, and loud in the best way, Sam loved to be a sister; always 1 of 3.

Sam’s creative side was one that was expressed in a variety of fun ways including paint by numbers, diamond art, tie dye, changing her hair color, and forever changing her nails. In her free time, Sam enjoyed multiple TV series and Harry Potter, listening to 90s and 00s music, singing in the shower, decorating for Christmas, and ordering from Amazon to fill her closet full of clothes galore! Her sweet spirit will be deeply missed by those she loved.

Samantha was preceded in death by her father, Frank Michael Montoya, sister, Kiley Montoya, grandparents, Ronald Miller, June Miller, Mary Montoya, and Frank Montoya, aunt, Donna Seymour, and cousin, Becky Seymour.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Maxton Montoya Cornwell; nephews and niece, Robbie “RJ” Evans, Chasen Montoya, Saige Davis, and Haven Davis; mother, Deborah Kim Montoya; sister, Sydney Montoya-Davis (Decoda); aunts and uncles, Teresa Garrett (Daniel), Tina Hawkins (Tim), Machele Morrison (Mike), Lisa Roberts (Larry), Tina Franklin (Tom), Leon Andrews, Mark Andrews (MaryAnn), and Barry Miller (Heather); cousins, Bruce, Whitney, Casey, and Ben Rucker, Carly Edwards, Chris and Brandon Garrett, Brittani Lindsey, Dustin Seymour, Jackie Lloyd, Brittany Perkins, Paul and Carmen Andrews, and Logan Miller; great-uncle, Michael Montoya, and god brother, David Roberts.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
