Sandra Allen Smith

In the late afternoon hours of Tuesday, August 23, 2016, Sandra Smith passed away peacefully at the Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit in Perry. She was 77.

Sandra was born on April 14, 1939 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late William Richard and Alma Clements Allen. A devoted homemaker, she loved her family and grandchildren dearly. Mrs. Smith enjoyed a number of hobbies including: reading, gardening, crocheting, and spending time at the Huddle House with friends whom she thought of as extended family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert William Smith, Jr; and her daughter, Virginia Dukes.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, James R. Smith of Perry, William R. Smith (Maria) of Warner Robins, and Debra Smith (John McCoy) of Macon; stepson, David Foss (Michelle) of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren; seven adoring great-grandchildren; and sister, Sylvia Ann Noble (Robert) of York, South Carolina.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 27th from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Richard Azbell will officiate. Afterwards, Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
