Sandra D. Funderburk

Sandra D. Funderburk, 68, entered into rest on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Sandra was born on February 19, 1946 in Rome, Georgia. She was a longtime member of Westside Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Sandra worked as a long distance operator with Southern Bell before her civil service employment. She retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Retail Item Manager. Sandra loved going on cruises and volunteering with Christian Social Ministries. Her husband, Ralph Franklin Funderburk and parents, Damon and Katherine Duncan, and daughter, Kimberleigh Chambers, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Chad Funderburk (Amy), Gaston, South Carolina; Kathy Harris (Richard), Dahlonega, Georgia; Kellen Waldron, Sugarland, Texas; and Wendy Veal (David), Byron; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister, Gail Duncan Barnes (Benny), Rome, Georgia; and special friend, Wilbur Bond.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Westside Baptist Church with private burial following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Christian Social Ministries, 744 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
