Macon

Sandra Langford Hardison, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023. Born on February 6, 1944, in Athens, Georgia, Sandra was the beloved daughter of the late Sarah Frances Jones and William Alton Langford.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her late husband, Harry Edward Hardison, who passed away in 2007. They met and exchanged vows in Macon, Georgia, a union that spanned many years. The couple established their first home in Warner Robins, where they joyfully lived for two decades. Sandra and Harry then spent another decade in Peach County, affectionately referred to as the 'country.' Yet, it only seemed fitting that they would end up planting their permanent roots in Macon, the place where their love story began and flourished.

Sandra dedicated her career to the field of accounting, contributing her skills to Sydney Pyles Plumbing & Heating. She was a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Macon; her spirituality was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.

Sandra had a green thumb and found joy in gardening. Birds, butterflies, and animals held a special place in her heart, as she marveled in the beauty of the world around her. Her greatest love, however, was reserved for her family, especially for her son and daughter-in-law, William and Jennifer; and her grandsons, Bryce and Lyle, whose laughter and presence brought immeasurable joy to her life. Sandra always stated, “The most important things in life are not things.”

Sandra Elaine Langford Hardison is survived by her son, William Marcus Hardison, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Ann Lloyd, and her adored grandsons, Bryce Lloyd Hardison and Lyle Jones Hardison. Her memory will also be cherished by all who knew and loved her; as well as her many four-legged companions that she lovingly rescued and cared for over the years.

The immediate family plans to hold a celebration of life in Sandra's memory, reflecting on the beautiful moments they shared and the legacy of the love she leaves behind.
