Sandra Lynn Gardner

April 5, 1947 — May 3, 2023

Sandra Lynn Gardner, 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Sandra was born on April 5, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After high school, she moved to Warner Robins, Georgia to be closer to family. Here, she met her late husband George, and they married, started a family, and made a home together. She volunteered at Miller Elementary for 18 years and received the Jefferson Award for outstanding volunteerism. Sandra retired as a deli clerk and cake decorator for Piggly Wiggly and Food Lion. She was a long-time member of Northview United Methodist Church before becoming a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was known for going above and beyond. She supported her local food pantry and went out of her way to help anyone she could. Everybody loved her and she loved everybody in return. She loved her dog, Daffodil dearly. She loved spending time with her family and helping to raise her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, elephant figurines, and tea sets.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron J.H. Austin and Martha Mac Austin, along with her daughter, Victoria Gardner.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Michael Gardner; grandchildren, Miranda Adrian and Kyele Brown; and siblings, Bob Austin (Shirley), Anita Paul, Carol Engler, and Cheryl Austin.
