Carol Lanier, 72, entered into rest on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

Carol was born on September 10, 1945 in Americus, Georgia to the late Jamie and Elizabeth Worthy Andrews. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Central 5-0, taught the three year old Sunday School Class and GA’s for fifteen years, and worked with Vacation Bible School. She also served with the Home Ministry Team. Carol was a retired school teacher and taught for Robins Elementary School, the Sylvan Learning Center and was a volunteer at Houston Medical Center.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughter, Carol Anne Lanier of Carrollton; grandson, Michael Allmon (Anna Marie) of Savannah; sister, Ann Williams of Lilburn; niece, Wendy Breda; nephew, Ben Williams; two great nieces and two great nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Carol will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Carol to the American Diabetes Association, 233 Peachtree Street, Harris Tower, Suite 2225, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.
