Sarah Gordon-Evans

Sarah Gordon-Evans, 96, was reunited with the love of her life, Bainor Edsel Evans, in Heaven, during the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 18, 2022. After Mr. Evans’ passing in 2005, she lost her way, but her family finds comfort in knowing that she found her way home to him.

Sarah was privileged to be a full-time wife, stay at home mother and homemaker, while her children grew up. When the kids were grown and out of the house, she took a position at Houston Medical Center and eventually retired as a supply supervisor. In her free time, Sarah enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was also a wonderful cook and delighted in feeding everyone every chance she had.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Sarah was preceded in death by her son, Scott Evans.

She is survived by her loving children, Linda Taggart (Randy) of Byron and Jackie Largaespada (Mario) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Cory Largaespada (Cassie) and Jarrett Largaespada (Jaime), both of Orlando, FL, Chris Taggart (Kelly) of Warner Robins and Drew Evans of Griffin; great-grandchildren, Morgan Ishani (Darian), and Avery, Sydney, Jordan, Troy, Annalise, Allison and Austin Largaespada, Evan and Tallon Taggart and Kylee Daniel (Heith); sister, Margaret Standard (Clark) of Columbus, GA; and daughter-in-law, Vicky Bozeman Evans.

Sarah’s family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to Bainor in Magnolia Park Mausoleum following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Sarah to a charity of your choice.
