Sarah K. Gentry, 87, died Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida. Visitation will be Monday, November 4, from 6:30 until 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Perry.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Perry.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Mrs. Gentry resided in Clearwater, Florida, most of her life and was a resident of Elko for eight years. She became a homemaker after retiring from civil service. She was a missionary to Venezuela with her husband and was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. Her husband, Carl Daniel Gentry, and parents, Willie Presley and Mary Jane King, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Carleton (Orville) Wolters, Staunton, VA; son, Roy (Sheila) Gentry, Elko; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
