Sc Leon Curtis Hodges, Usn (Ret)

Leon C. Hodges, 63, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in his home. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 5, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 3, 2006 from 6 until 8 P.M. and also Sunday, June 4, 2006 from 2 until 4 P.M. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church Building Fund, 243 Marshall Mill Road, Fort Valley, Georgia, 31030.

Mr. Hodges was born on June 28, 1942 in Portland, Tennessee. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He retired from the United States Navy where he held the position as a Senior Chief and also retired from U.S. Airways. He worked with Eastern Airlines for 21 years in avionics and as a mechanic. His parents, Raymond and Marguerite Hodges; sister, Betty J. Hodges, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Hodges, Byron; children, Michele Brake (Joe), Albany; Kim Hodges, McDonough; brothers, Alfred Hodges, Portland, Tennessee; Ronald Hodges, S. Bend, Indiana; Warren Hodges, Maryville, Tennessee; sisters, Ruth Ann Somerville, Portland, Tennessee; Carolyn Barnard, Danville, Kentucky; Trudy Conover, Gallatin, Tennessee.
