Seabey Dykes

January 8, 1941 — November 26, 2021

Seabey Dykes, 80, entered into the gates of heaven on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Seabey was born on January 8, 1941, in Milan, Georgia to the late Melton and Betty Farmer Dykes. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army having traveled to Korea and participated in Desert Storm. Prior to retiring, Seabey worked logistics during his military career and was a dedicated member of the 48th Brigade. Following his military retirement, Seabey dedicated thirty-one years to the United States Postal Service until he retired for a second time. Seabey was an active member of the Al Sihah Shriners, Scottish Right and Masonic Lodge and was a Ham operator. A real prankster, Seabey enjoyed cutting up and make nicknames for his friends and family. He loved his horses, his dog, Blue and his beloved family who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Benny Dykes and John D. Dykes.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of fifty-eight years, Rose Marie Dykes; sons, Gregory S. Dykes (Blandi) and Michael K. Dykes (Tammy); grandchildren, Danielle Dykes, Taylor Dykes (Haley), Austin Dykes (Courtney) and Nicholas Dykes (fiancée, Hannah); great grandsons, Aaron Sinclair Dykes “Little Toddy” and soon to be, Flint Rustyn Dykes; sister, Lou Nell (Kenneth); sister in law, Martha Dykes and brother in laws, Clifford Crawford (Pat) and Osmon Crawford (Annette) and several nieces and nephews.
