Semer "Skip" Holmes

Skip Holmes, 66, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007.

Mr. Holmes was born on July 22, 1941 in Mobile, Alabama.

Skip was gifted with a distinctive voice which led to a successful career as a DJ in several cities. In the last eighteen years, he became well known to radio listeners in Middle Georgia where he worked for several local stations, most recently WNNG AM 1350. He left that position last year to become the Director of the Houston County Certified Literate Community Program.

His parents, Semer Clark Holmes, Jr. and Betty S. Holmes, preceded him in death.
Survivors include three children.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 3, 2007 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the Houston County Certified Literate Community Program, 1311 Corder Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
