Oberine Hylton, 67, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 27, 2014.
The son of the late Veron and Margaret Hylton, Oberine was born on November 18, 1947 in Clear Creek, Kentucky. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Army National Guard with 24 years of combined service. Subsequent to his military retirement, Oberine went on to dedicate 27 years to Coachmen RV before retiring from there, as well.
Oberine had a creative imagination and enjoyed using his hands to paint art and build projects. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He went anytime the chance came. Oberine will be remembered as a lovable and fun-loving man who never met a stranger. He will always be remembered as a loyal and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of three years, Marta Hylton of Warner Robins; children, Casey Hylton (Karen) of Byron, Tristan Hylton (Mandy) of Bristol, Indiana, and Arzelia "Sissy" Sheperd of Hudson, Indiana; grandchildren, Kyla, Saige, Zander, Kayden, Holten, Syrah "Jewel," Duane, Jordan, and Izabell "Bell;" sister, Marianne Fletcher (Bill) of Douglas, Georgia; and a host of adoring friends and colleagues.
Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with graveside services held at 2:30 p.m. in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville with Full Military Honors.
