Shannon Cadwell, 44, passed away unexpectedly on the afternoon of Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Born in Petersburg, Virginia on June 20, 1972, Shannon was a graduate of Northeast High School in Macon where she earned the Golden Eagle Award. She went on to graduate from West Georgia College in Carrollton with a Bachelor's Degree in English and was a much-loved claims manager at GEICO for the past 20 years. Southside Baptist was Shannon's church home. Spending time with her sons brought her the greatest joy, but in her leisure time, she enjoyed hiking, reading, and was a devoted Trekkie and Star Wars guru.
She leaves her memory behind with her loving husband of two years, Joseph Clay Cadwell of Warner Robins; children, Hunter and Chase Duke, both of Warner Robins; parents, Sheryl and Jimmie Stanton of Macon; sister, Angel Henning of Macon; mother-in-law, Runette Roberts Cadwell; sister-in-law, Holly Geronzin (Bill); a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; former husband, Mark Duke of Macon; and a host of adoring friends and GEICO family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
