Sharon O'Hara Short

Sharon O’Hara Short, 57, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

Mrs. Short was born on July 16, 1949 in Syracuse, New York. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sharon was retired from Cape Canaveral Hospital in Florida where she was a licensed practical nurse. A woman of many accomplishments, she was also a fabulous homemaker and daycare provider. Her parents, Robert and Catherine Meehan O’Hara, and her brother, Timothy O’Hara, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse De Short, Perry; step son, Michael De Short, FL; siblings, Patty O’Hara, PA; Dan O’Hara, CA; Maureen Crist, CA; Terri O’Hara, CO, several step grandchildren and her beloved cat, Do De.

The family will receive visitors on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the residence of Debbie and Chuck Bennett and Hazel Short located at 106 Melanie Lane, Warner Robins, GA 31088. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice-Serenity Gate 103 Westridge Drive Warner Robins, GA 31088
