On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 21, 2023, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Sheila Darlene Ellis, joined her beloved husband, David Arthur Ellis, her parents, and her siblings, Judy Wainwright, Stacy Kinslow, Bill Carpenter and John Kinslow in heaven. She was 63 years old and of the Baptist faith.
A native of Macon, GA, Sheila was born on October 13, 1959 and grew up in both Macon and Butler. She attended Taylor County High School, got married, started a family, and relished a life of being a full-time wife, mother and homemaker. Sheila spent some time working for Keadle’s Chicken Plant and Georgia Fried Chicken in Butler, as well. For fun, you could find her playing Farmville on Facebook and Dragon City on the computer which she loved. Sheila also enjoyed doting on all of her grandchildren and spending time with family as often as possible.
Those left to cherish Sheila’s memory are her loving children, Patricia “Trish” Ellis, Anna Marie Martin (Aaron) and Libby Ellis, all of Macon, Joseph W. Ellis (Wendy) of Hartwell, GA and David S. Ellis (Renee) of Macon; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronald Kinslow of Macon, Elaine Green of Roberta, Wanda Kinslow of Butler and Kay Brown Jackson of Kathleen; and numerous adoring nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Sheila’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
