Sherry A. Robinson, 77, joined her beloved husband, Douglas P. Robinson, and those who had gone before to Heaven, on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. She was born in Alabama on August 5, 1944, the daughter of the late William L. and Frances V. Armstrong.
Growing up in Alabama, Sherry graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile. She later married Douglas P. Robinson in Houston, Texas. In 1967, they moved to Warner Robins where she worked for Southern Bell for a short time before working in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Sherry worked in procurement on base for several years before retiring in 2005.
A godly woman, Sherry loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all of her heart. She was a faithful member of North Macon Church of Christ and was sure to attend every Sunday and Wednesday. She had the biggest heart you would have ever known and one of the ways this was displayed was in how she truly enjoyed volunteering at the Hospice Thrift Store. Along with being a devout follower of Christ and woman of impeccable integrity, Sherry was an avid Alabama Football fan (ROLL TIDE!) and country music lover; Merle Haggard was her go-to. She also loved flower gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sherry was preceded in death by her children, Sophie Robinson, William Douglas Robinson and Steven Douglas Robinson; granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Wolfe; brother, Roger Armstrong; and sister, Becky Stokes.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Melanie R. Wolfe (Darian Jacobs) of Hawkinsville; granddaughters, Ashley Reneé Wolfe (Troy Williams), and Mallory Hope Robinson (Octavius Parker); favorite grandson, Jacob Lee Wolfe (Kristen Nicole Warlick); great-grandchildren, Kinley Nicole Wolfe and Zofi Wolfe-Williams; siblings, Willie Armstrong (Kathy), Phillip Armstrong, Ginger Goff (Harry), Molly Young (Jeff) and Janet Goodson (Henry); sister-in-law, Lisa Armstrong; brother-in-law, Tarrell Stokes; her late son, Steven’s fiancé, Amanda Sheffield; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
