Sheryl Lynne Rusho Mokris

Sheryl Mokris, 58, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her home.

Born February 23, 1958 in Gouverneur, New York to Manley and the late Mary Lou Rusho, Sheryl grew up on Grindstone Island on the St. Lawrence River and later moved to Sanford, Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1980 and proudly joined the United States Air Force. While stationed in Lubbock, Texas, Sheryl met and married Daniel J. Mokris and raised their four children.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her mother and her granddaughter, Eleanor Rose.

Her memory will be treasured by her loving husband of 32 years, Daniel James Mokris; children, Kathleen Kane (Billy Franklin), Andrew Graham, Jacob Daniel, and Bradley Alexander Mokris; granddaughter, Violet Merrie Franklin; father, Manley Rusho; sisters, Susan Greenberg (Dr. Andy Greenberg), Cindy Hagemann (Commander Jon Hagemann) and Cathleen Sierra.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church, 1040 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088 with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m.
