Shiang-Shehe "Suzie" (Pan) Ruiz was born in Taipei, Taiwan to Yan-Shih and Chou-Nai on Oct 12, 1962. She moved to Okinawa, Japan, prior to her first birthday. Suzie attended Christ the King International School where she was popular in school and loved to play soccer. Suzie attended the University of Maryland and spoke five languages; English, Japanese, Chinese, as well as Taiwanese and Okinawa dialects. She married Jerry Ruiz on Apr 30, 1991 and together they have two sons. Suzie traveled throughout the Pacific and Europe before settling in Warner Robins, GA. She quickly made friends and enjoyed various activities, such as bowling and get-togethers with her friends. Even though she was a quiet and private person, Suzie valued her friendships and the concern of her friends during her illness. She was a devoted wife and mother; her love and dedication is reflected through her family.
Suzie is survived by her husband Jerry Ruiz of Warner Robins, GA; sons, Shota Hayashi (Kanna) of Japan; Jordan Ruiz who attends Kennesaw State University; Jonas Ruiz who attends Middle Georgia University; grandson, Keita Hayashi of Japan; two older brothers, Richard and George, and two older sisters, Linda and Nancy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Suzie's family will receive friends following the service. She will be laid to rest at a private service in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to one of her favorite charities, heart research, or any homeless foundation.
