Shirley E. Dunstan

Shirley E. Dunstan, 74, entered into rest on Friday, June 24, 2011.

Mrs. Dunstan was born on August 19, 1936 in Mississippi. With pride and honor, Shirley served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. Mrs. Dunstan was an English teacher for twenty years at Northside High School. After retirement from the Houston County Board of Education, she continued her teaching career at Georgia Military College where she taught and tutored English and Reading. Dedicated to her teaching career, she also taught children who were in the Hospital Homebound Program.
Her husband, William D. Dunstan, III; son, Donald Wayne Dunstan, and her parents, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Laura Mathews and Robert Dunstan, both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Emily Mathews, Wayne Messer, and Brandy Dunstan; two sisters, one brother, and many other family loving members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in Andersonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the Fine Arts Society Scholarship Fund, 81 Willow Avenue, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088
