Shirley Tolbert joined her beloved husband, Ross, in Heaven on Thursday, October 22, 2015. She was 75 years old.
Shirley was born on May 26, 1940 in Hickory Plains, Arkansas, one of three children to the late William and Ester Toone Flynn. She graduated from Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas with the class of 1957 and retired from the Timex Company. After moving to Warner Robins, she became a much-loved housekeeper and provided childcare for several families in the area. Growing up, Shirley enjoyed playing softball and was most recently an avid Braves Baseball and Arkansas Razorback Football fan. Central Baptist was her church home where she was active in the Central Five-0.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her brother, William Gene Flynn.
Shirley forever leaves behind her memory with her sister, Bonnie Flynn Watson, her niece and nephew, Tammy Arnett (Jeff) and Keith Watson (Ann), and her great-niece and nephews, Jared and Jacob Arnett, Leigh Watson, and Richard Flynn; and a host of other nieces and nephews in Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Shirley Tolbert to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
