Shirley K. Jackson

Shirley K. “Gussie” Jackson, 84, passed away on Thursday,
November 8, 2007.

Mrs. Jackson was born on December 20, 1922 in Griffin, Georgia. She was a homemaker and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was also of Baptist Faith. Her husband, MSgt. Herbert Curtis Jackson, Jr. and parents, Alvin Smith Kimbell and Rose Marchmen Kimbell, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Herbert “Jack” C. Jackson, III, Milledgeville; daughter, Leah Bauer(John), Gilbertsville, Kentucky; son, Philip C. Jackson (Olena), Wichita Falls, Texas; granddaughter, Cathleen Jackson, Milledgeville; granddaughter, Daphne Whited, Cantonment, Florida; grandson, Colby Dillard, Pensacola, Florida; granddaughter, Augusta Schmidt, Texas; three great grand children.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, in the Magnolia Park Cemetery.
