Smsgt. Benny Ray Neeley Usaf (Ret)

Benny Ray Neeley, 64, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 5, 2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2005 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to support Benny’s philanthropic efforts to rehabilitate elementary schools in the Philippines. Benny was born on January 9, 1941 in Harriman, Tennessee. He served thirty years in the United States Air Force, including the Vietnam War. His parents, Lawrence and Charlcie Neeley, and brother, Lawrence Neeley, Jr. preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Neeley, Warner Robins; sons, Mike Neeley (Kathy), Jacksonville, Florida; Diamond Neeley, Naples, Florida; daughter, Michele Neeley Poole (David), Cumming, Georgia; sisters, Kathleen Plemens, Harriman, Tennessee; Shirley Neeley, Harriman, Tennessee; brother, Bill Neeley, Germany; grandchildren, Alexandria, Savannah, Jack, Ava, and several nieces and nephews .
