Donald Edward Green, Sr., 81, entered into rest on Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Donald was born on May 8, 1931 in Sussex, New Jersey. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and the Vietnam Era and retired after twenty-nine years of service. He later retired as Area Manager after twenty years with Days Inn. Passionate about any and every antique automobile, he spent most free time admiring cars and was even former President of the Antique Auto Club. His mother, Ruth Lawson Giles, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Marion Cole Green, Bonaire; sons, Donald Edward Green, Jr., Warner Robins, Sam Green, Bonaire, Tim Green, Eatonton, Georgia, and Dyke Green, Florence, South Carolina; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Westbrookville Cemetery in Westbrookville, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
