Dwight L. Moore, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014.
Dwight was born on August 3, 1932 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Charles L. and Blannie Griner Moore. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1950 until 1954 and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars with the United States Air Force. Dwight retired from the military with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Subsequent to his military retirement, he owned and operated Moore Concreting Service, Inc. Dwight loved to spend time in South Georgia where he grew up. He enjoyed fishing and he loved the outdoors. Dwight spent much time traveling and researching his family genealogy.
His parents; sister, Faye Sirmans; and brother, Eldon Moore, preceded him in death.
Dwight's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 57 years, Marion Moore of Warner Robins; children, Debra Moore Spears of Warner Robins, Jeffery L. Moore of North Carolina, and Steven Moore of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Heath and Patrick Spears, Ryan and Christian Moore, Brandi Rainey and Haley Moore; two great-grandchildren, Blaine and Caroline Rainey; sister, Patricia Studstill of Ray City, Georgia; many adoring nieces and nephews and dear friend, Jeff Locklear.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
