Born on February 7, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, George was the cherished son of the late Robert Bell and Virginia Dent. On March 12, 1982, he married his soulmate, Linda Faye Dent and their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship.

He further honed his leadership skills at the NCO Leadership Academy. Notably, George also lent his expertise to the Department of Defense as an Industrial Engineering Specialist, and concluded his career with a second and final retirement at the United States Post Office.

His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he served as a Sunday School teacher and Bible Study leader. George also served as the minister of New Jerusalem Holiness Church in McKeesport and was a member of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church. His ministry included going into different prisons, ministering and praying for the prisoners and the staff. He was also a member of American Legion Post 594 and served the American Legion Veterans.
