Glenn Gulley, 60, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016.
Glenn was born on December 29, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana. With great pride and honor he served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Glenn's years of service included tours of duty during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm from which he received many commendations of valor working as a heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. Following his active duty service, he began a career in civil service as a HVAC Technician at Robins Air Force Base. Glenn was a long-time member of Union Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and Usher. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the baritone in church. Glenn was also a member of the Macon Symphony Orchestra.
His father, Arthur Gulley, Sr.; daughter, Wenise Gulley; sister, Christine Fletcher; and brother, Gary Gulley, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Marvin Gulley (Tracy) of Warner Robins, Ga; Jamaal Gulley of Helena, Ga; Candace Gulley of Warner Robins, Ga; mother, Virginia Gulley of New Orleans, La; fiancée, Lolita Glover of Centerville, Ga; siblings, Arthur Gulley, Jr. of Los Angeles, Ca; Anise Gulley of New Orleans, La; aunts, Willie Mae Huey and June Robinson, both of Stockton, Ca and ex-wife, Wendy Gulley of Bonaire, Ga.
Visitation with Glenn's family will be Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Union Grove Baptist Church. An additional funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Greater Carver Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. After the service, Glenn will be laid to rest in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana, at 2:00 p.m.
