Howard Jackson, 75, entered into rest on Friday, April 1, 2011.
Born on December 23, 1935 in Vincennes, Indiana, Mr. Jackson was a faithful and loyal veteran of the United States Air Force who retired after 29 years of service having attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Subsequent to his military career, he was employed by the U. S. Postal Service for 17 years. A devoted husband and father, Mr. Jackson was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Faith Keepers Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Middle Georgia Mopar Club. His parents, Frank Jackson and Hortense Morris Ison, preceded him in death.
He will live in the hearts of his wife of 53 years, Myrtle Jackson, Warner Robins; daughters, Sharon Jackson, Warner Robins, and Yvonne Houser (Mark), Bend, Oregon; adopted granddaughter, Anna Scearce, Danville, Virginia; sister, Judy Gilkerson, Lorain, Ohio; four nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, the Reverend John Kubia III officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
