Smsgt. James M. Tyler, Usaf (Ret.)

March 22, 1942 — March 2, 2021

Jim Tyler, proud Vietnam Veteran, and amazing husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. He was born to the late Price and Willodean Tyler, in Anniston, Alabama, on March 22, 1942.

The epitome of a patriot, Jim without a doubt loved his country and everything it stood for. He honored his oath to America while serving in the United States Air Force for 25 years and received a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. Subsequent to his military retirement in 1985, Jim continued service to his country while working in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base for 20 years until finally retiring.

Above all, Jim was a family man who was faithfully devoted to his wife of 58 years. He was forever proud of Peggy and genuinely admired her for all the ways she loved him. Jim was great with his hands and could always be counted on to take care of things around the house. In addition, he truly loved the Lord and his church. Jim was a past member of Warner Robins Church of the Nazarene and was most recently a member of Southside Baptist Church. Anyone who knew him knew he was a super fan of Alabama Football (ROLL TIDE)!

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy A. Tyler of Warner Robins; his son, Michael M. Tyler of Arvada, Colorado; and his grandsons, Brenden Tyler of Arvada, Colorado and Benjamin Woodling of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
