John Alex McIntosh, Sr., 87, entered into rest on Thursday, September 9, 2010
John was born on February 2, 1923 in Social Circle, Georgia. He was a longtime member of Centerville First United Methodist Church. A veteran of WW II, SMSgt McIntosh proudly retired from the United States Air Force. SMSgt McIntosh was also a lifetime member of the Air Force Sergeant's Association. He was an avid gardener and musician. His parents, William M. McIntosh and Mae Higginbotham McIntosh, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of sixty nine years, Eva McIntosh, Warner Robins; daughter, Linda McIntosh Castle, Galesburg, MI; son and daughter in law, John McIntosh, Jr., and Linda, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Sarah and David Clayton, Emily Danger, David and Beth Castle; six great grandchildren, sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Ed Hooten, of Covington; several nieces and nephews and so many other loving relatives and special friends.
Visitation will be Friday evening, September 10, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Pastor Stephen B. Grantham will officiate.
