SMSgt Ricardo A. Gamundi, USAF, 50, went home to the Lord, Monday, December 26, 2011.
Rick was born on February 2, 1961 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty-eight years achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Rick was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was honored to serve as Lector, Youth Mentor, and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a dedicated member of ACTS Community. Rick was an avid horseman and will be greatly missed as a husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty-two years, Kathie Gamundi; children, Ricky Gamundi, T.J. Gamundi, and Rebekah Gamundi; parents, Carlos and Delores Gamundi of Miami, Florida; siblings, Carlos Gamundi of Miami, Florida, Ana McConnell of La Fayette, New York, and Alex Gamundi of Miami, Florida; brothers-in-law, Rick Boivin of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Brian Dippi of Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Tara McCalip of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; parents-in-law, Robert and Patricia Dippi of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; family; Brothers and Sisters in Christ; friends; and Home Team Angels.
A Rosary will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Chaplain Thomas J. Fey, Lt. Col, USAF (Ret) will officiate. The family will accept flowers, or memorial donations may be given to ACTS Retreat Foundation, 1303 S.
