Smsgt Rolland (Ron) Edward Kurth, Usaf (Ret)

Rolland "Ron" Edward Kurth, 83, entered into rest on Sunday, September 4, 2011.

Mr. Kurth was born on July 16, 1928 in Beaumont, Texas. SMSgt Kurth retired from the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam and Korean era. Post retirement, Ron was the Lounge Manager of the Holiday Inn in Warner Robins. With honor and commitment, he served as Manager of the V.F. W. Post 6605. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. His parents, George and Lois Martin Kurth, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Ruth Lillian Kurth; children, Robin Edward Kurth, both of Bonaire; Jill Elsa Williams (Roland), Kathleen; Heidi Ellen Lutz (Jim), Chester, New Hampshire; Thor Eric Kurth (Julie Ann), Arlington, Texas; sister, Barbara Brand, Naperville, IL; nine grandchildren, Allison, Phillip, Casey, Cody, Christina, Chris, Alec, Nick, and Annie; two great grandchildren, Bryce and Caylin; and nephew, Steve Brand, Atlanta.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with D.C.O. Jerry Bisping officiating. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
