Smsgt. William Harold Lloyd

September 5, 1932 — March 12, 2009

William Harold Lloyd, 76, entered into rest on Thursday, March 12, 2009.

Mr. Lloyd was born on September 5, 1932 in Saint Matthews, South Carolina. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force and participated in the Korean Conflict. He later worked in civil service as an Equipment Specialist and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Friendship Baptist Church was his church home, where he was a member of George Mayo's Sunday School Class. His many club memberships included the Masons, Shriners, Yorkrite, Scottish Rite and Warner Robins Noon Optimist Club. He was an accomplished guitarist and music teacher, as well as an avid golfer. His parents, William Homer Lloyd and Lyra Wolfe Lloyd, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Dorothy Jean Bullard Lloyd; children, William "Bill" H. Lloyd, Jr., Warner Robins, Janice Williams, Bonaire, and Linda Byrnes, Wilmington, North Carolina; brother, Franklin S. Lloyd, Columbia, South Carolina; half-brother, Ezra H. Lloyd, Haynes City, Florida; and grandson, Christopher A. Williams.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Paul Cowles officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Friendship Baptist Church Bldg Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins GA 31088 or to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
