Centerville – Ko So Cha Smiddy, 67, entered into rest peacefully in Jones County at her sister's residence on Thursday, April 21, 2011.
Mrs. Smiddy was born on January 2, 1944 in Seoul, Korea. She was a Baptist and a member of Northridge Baptist Church; she was active in the Red Hat Society, loved gardening, sewing and painting. Her parents, Ko Young San and Kim Bong Lae, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her faithful and loving husband Burgin C. Smiddy, Centerville; step-children, Randy Smiddy and Tim Smiddy, both of Clinton, Tennessee; sister, Pyong Ok Sullens (Stanley), Macon; brothers, Ko Sung Kwang and Ko Soo Kwang, of Korea; several nieces and nephews, Stephanie Long (Nathan), Raleigh, North Carolina; Stephen Sullens (Julie), Gray; and little "Butterbean" Sullens who is on the way.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Klay Aspinwall officiating. Interment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens
