Sondra Aleda Scarborough

Sondra Aleda Scarborough, 62, died Friday, August 16, 2002 at the Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 19 at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Mrs. Scarborough was born in Norfolk, VA. She was a homemaker. She received an Associate’s degree from Macon College and at the age of 60 graduated with honors from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. After graduating she was employed as a part-time counselor for the State of Georgia. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society. Her sister, Sharon Beasley, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Sasser Scarborough, Warner Robins; parents, Robert and Pauline Murphy Williams, Norfolk, VA; children, Robin Evans, Norfolk, VA, Carlton E. Floyd, Bonaire, Timothy L. Floyd, Warner Robins, Andrew R. Floyd, Griswoldville, GA, Patrick L. Floyd, Juliette; nine grandchildren; one nephew.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
