Sophia Adams Gibbs, was born in Warner Robins, Georgia to Albert and Shirley Adams on March 1, 1980. She attended Osborne High School in May of 1998 in Marietta, Georgia. She graduated from Albany State University, graduating in May of 2004 with a Degree of Bachelor of Science Management Healthcare and Administration.
At a young age Sophia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and participated in various charities and church events serving others at Hope International Church as a member. She was a confidant to many, loved traveling and spending time with family and friends as often as she could. On August 18, 2014, she joined the bond of holy matrimony with Eric Gibbs.

On Friday, December 1, 2017 at 37 years of age, Sophia departed this life to be with the Lord in Greenville, SC. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Orie Sr. and Elizabeth Adams and Eugene Radford, Sr.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of lovely daughters Camille Jackson and Kinsey Adams both of GA. Siblings Tomitka Scott (Marietta, GA) and Kenyetta Adams (Dover AFB, DE). Grandmothers: Mable Bryant and Clara Radford of Houston County, GA. Mother-in-law: Dorothy Rhodes. Sister-in-laws: LaToya Hendrix and Dorothy Gibbs. Brother-in-laws: Kelvin Gibbs (Geraldine) and John Gibbs all of Mississippi. Aunts: Silas Ann Clark (MS), Alice Logan (MO), Marilyn Coleman (Danny) of TX, Barbara Allen, Jackie Owens, Tameka Neal, Alisha Owens-Surrogate/Sister, Jackie Cooks all of Georgia. Special Aunts: Christine Johnson, Debbie Lassiter, JoAnn Crump, Karin Barnes, Gwen Spikes, LaGwinder Banks. Uncles Casey Clark (Litty) of AL, Orie Adams Jr, Ted Q. Adams I, Eric Adams all of MS, Richmond Adams (Regina) of TX, Randall Adams (Kimberly) of GA. James Scott, Damon Owens, Eugene Radford, Jr (Mary), Russell Cooks all of GA, Randy Radford (CA). Stepchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing hours will be from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church in Perry, Georgia. Following the service, Sophia will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military honors.
