Ronald Ezell, 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.
Ronald was born on December 31, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to the late J.C. and Virgie Wicker Ezell. A proud United States Army Veteran, he bravely served his country during the Korean Conflict and with three tours in Vietnam. Mr. Ezell and his family were stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas in 1973 and he retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1977. He continued to live in El Paso until 1998. Following his military career, he worked as a truck driver for Crow Bar Company for 18 years. He was a resident of Bonaire for the past nine years.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 47 years, Pong Ezell, his son, Ron Shin, and Ron’s son, Chang Shik Shin, all of Bonaire; granddaughter, Jeong Sook Shin (Byeong Min Do) of LaGrange, Georgia; and grandson, MSgt. Jimmie Lee Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Bong Taek Chang officiating. Mr. Ezell will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville at 1:00 p.m.
