Ssgt Gary ''Snake'' Tyrone Cleveland, Usaf (Ret)

SSgt Gary "Snake" Tyrone Cleveland, USAF (Ret), 62, went to meet his Maker on June 24, 2011.

Snake was born on May 8, 1949 in Dalton, Georgia. He graduated with the Class of '68 from Dalton High School in Dalton. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force from which he retired after obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. His daughter, Chinika Cleveland; brother-in-law, Vincent Simpson; and parents, Early and Betty Cleveland preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Evelyn Evon Hamilton Cleveland, Warner Robins; son, TreDarius Cleveland, Byron; stepdaughters, Jontue Hampton and Whitney Denton, both of Warner Robins; sister, Cynthia Simpson, Milledgeville; grandson, Nigel; nephews, Scotty and Terrance; aunt, Vera Matthews, Auburn, California; and special friends, Dr. Willie L. Reid, Sr.; James Allen Weaver; Marion Willis; Frank Swader; Harold McCarthy; Ezell Stephens; Derrick Gibson; Keldrick Braswell; Forest Starks; Iva Lee Macon; Neal Garrison; and Richard "Butch" Strickland.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Kidney Fund, 72 Edgewood Avenue,
Atlanta, GA 30303.
