Kenneth Thomas Kirby, 87, entered into rest on Sunday, February 23, 2014.
Kenneth was born on December 19, 1926 in Roane County, Tennessee. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran having served during World War II. Kenneth served our country with a military career of twenty-three years and retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1969. Following his military retirement, he worked for several years in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Kenneth was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church. His parents, Archy and Ann Oda Lemons Kirby, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Helen Bernice Kirby of Warner Robins; daughters, Patricia Myhand of Augusta and Pamela Faglier (Vernon) of Thomson; grandchildren, Philip and Rebecca Myhand, and Kim, Crystal and Jonathan Faglier; and great-grandchildren, Preston, Brantley and Wynston Myhand, Chloe and Megan Faglier, Conner Treat, Riley and Landon Hallford, Alison Meldrum and Trey Jones.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Reverend Randall Nash and Reverend Mike Campbell to officiate.
