Matthew Theodore Blazewicz, 83, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
Mr. Blazewicz, born March 17, 1928 in Cheshire, Massachusetts, had lived in Warner Robins since 1959. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force as a Sheet Metal Mechanic for twenty-one years before retiring as a Senior Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed gardening and flowers. Matthew was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the American Legion. His parents, Alexander Blazewicz and Anna Chenpazata Blazewicz, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Alice Doris Cravish Blazewicz; daughters, and Debra M. Bonebrake (William), Las Vegas, Nevada, and Pamela J. Blazewicz, Rock Hill, South Carolina; grandson, Steven Bonebrake, Las Vegas; great-granddaughter, Stephanie Bonebrake, Las Vegas; brother, Ed Blazewicz, New Jersey; sisters, Felica Kinney, Hot Bottom, Pennsylvania, and Ann Ryczek, Adams, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be held Friday, October 7, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monsignor Fred Nijem and Deacon Jim Hunt officiating. Entombment will follow at Magnolia Park Mausoleum with full military honors. Flowers may be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 250 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
